As my weekend came to an end visiting my sweet friend Angela in Gilbert, AZ....she dropped me off at the airport & I ended up doing something adventurous!!
I made a quick 5 second decision, changed my flight reservation, rented a Jeep, took the top down, music blasting, sun shining and drove 2 hours to Sedona from Phoenix. As I arrived, I then quickly changed into my hiking clothes in the back seat of the Jeep and hiked up the Cathedral Rock, making it just in time for sunset!!! I witnessed engagement photos, I met new friends along the way, captured breathtaking pictures and cried when I got back to the Jeep! Everything was just so surreal. I couldn’t believe what I had just accomplished.
Timing is so divine, so beautifully orchestrated, allow it, trust it, surrender to it….
I had no idea yet where I was staying. Sometimes you’ve got to stop looking so far ahead. The unknown is a viiiibbeeee & exciting!! It’s ok not to have an exact plan.
Live in the present moment, it’s FUN!
I ended up coming across this beautiful hotel with stunning views, sipped on cocktails, ate dinner & reflected on this dream that just came true.
Now, I am not a morning person, but the hotel had a viewing deck on the third floor. I set my alarm and woke up at 6:15am, made coffee, grabbed my blanket and walked to the deck in my pajamas. I got to witness the sunrise slowly come up from the canyons! WOW!
I checked out of the hotel, went to Starbucks & then drove to see The Chapel of the Holy Cross, talked to God, cried again, accidentally came across this river, sat quietly as I listened to the sound of the water, got back in the Jeep and drove 2 hours back to Phoenix Sky Harbor International airport & boarded my plane!
Limitations, rules & expectations aren’t my thing. Give me freedom, adventure, authenticity, spontaneity, unconditional love, passion, self expression, soul expansion....In every aspect, always!
