Summertime in the city can be a drag. It's hot. Parks and patios are crowded. Getting up north means you have to sit on hwy 400 for much too long.
Between the months of April to August, Origin Travels will be hosting a variety of meet-ups across the city of Toronto to get you outside, and connect with like-minded, self-identified women in your community.
All meetups will be easy to access, and ensures that you will get your fill of Vitamin G (green).

Join us on this epic 2-night camping trip into Ontario's Muskoka region on the ground of the tranquil Six Mile Lake Provincial Park. This trip gets you far enough from the city to experience the great outdoors, but close enough that you don't spend your precious time getting there.

* The cost of brunch is not included. If you would prefer to just meet us for a coffee or tea, that's great too!
Brunch spot: Cherry Bomb Cafe (79 Roncesvalles Ave, Toronto)
This cafe roasts its own coffee in house, and carries mostly fresh baked pastries (so maybe eat a light breakfast before coming if you are super hungry!).
Please note that the space is quite small, so we we will be meeting at this spot for 11am, grabbing some treats to go, and walking down to the beach around 11:30 sharp! If you want to meet us at the beach at 11:45, please meet us in front of the Sunnyside Pavilion (1755 Lake Shore Blvd West)
Clean up spot: Sunnyside Beach (West End)
What you need:
- 1 recycling/garbage bag for trash pick up (smaller bags are easier to handle on windy days!)
- Thick gardening gloves for picking up trash (can get these at the dollar store!)
Participation fee: $15 per class (cash only)
Classes will be in the vinyasa flow style and led by a local yogi, Olivia Hill (bio below!)
Location: Trinity Bellwoods Park
Start time: 10am (60 min)
What to bring: comfortable clothing, yoga mat, towel, water bottle.
Meet: Meet us just north of the baseball diamond in the east side of the park!
Olivia has a background in Hatha Yoga (Yoga Alliance Certified), Pilates (Pilates Alliance Certified), and a BAH in Philosophy and Eastern Religion (Queen’s University).
Her classes are alignment focused and designed to move the body and quiet the mind; there are deep stretches, strength building sequences, and often an optional guided meditation at the end. Her classes can be challenging and rewarding. Her wish is that you carry the benefits of your practice off the mat with you; so if you trust her to take you on a sweaty journey, your body and mind will thank you after.

Join local photographer, Hannah Brown, as we wander through the most vibrant routes in downtown Toronto. On this guided walk you will learn about concepts like colour theory, rule of third, and lighting, as well as basic tips on using your DSLR (camera phones also welcome!). Plus, learn about ethical and respectful approaches to street photography. Everything you need to get prepared for your next trip.
